Service Description

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei and Ki. Rei means universal. Ki means energy. So together Reiki means universal energy. Reiki is a natural healing technique that involves placing the hands over the body in various positions. It is thought to have originated in Tibet thousands of years ago and was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist Monk in the Nineteenth Century. It was his purpose to find how Buddha healed the sick. During his 10 year quest he studied the sacred literature of Japan, China, India and Tibet. At the end of his quest the complete system of Reiki came to him during a mystical experience on the holy mountain of Kurtyama. Katie is level II certified in Holy Fire Reiki. Reiki is traditionally performed laying on a massage table, fully clothed, while the practitioner places light pressure on the body in positions around the head, shoulders, stomach and feet. A Reiki session with Katie lasts roughly 45 minutes and encourages deep relaxation. Reiki is designed to work on the physical, mental and emotional level. Katie is certified to perform Reiki on humans, equine, and canine friends. Reiki can be added onto a human or equine massage, please contact us for more info. Cancellation Policy

Bountiful Roots Wellness requires a 24-hour cancellation policy for all sessions. If you can't make your appointment please contact us at 509-979-5456 prior to our deadline.  Sessions not cancelled or rebooked  prior to the 24-hour deadline will be charged in full. More than 2 cancellations without proper notice will result in termination of services with Bountiful Roots Wellness. Thank you for your understanding. We are booking out 2-3 weeks in advance. Please respect our time and space in understanding if you cancel last minute, that spot cannot be filled.
